Friends of McGolrick Park is proud to have been selected as one of 68 grantees for the 2023 NYC Green Fund Grassroots program!

The NYC Green Fund Grassroots grant program is intended to advance the viability of grassroots initiatives across parks and open spaces in all five boroughs and to foster a resilient network of equitable, public green spaces. Our winning proposal will fund additional adult and youth binoculars, books and reference materials for the McGolrick Bird Club and launch a new Nature Walk series. Our goal for the Nature Walks is to allow our community to learn about the wonders within our park on guided walks with specialized experts. They will run from November 2023 through September 2024. All walks will be free and open to neighbors of all ages.
