
McGolrick Meditation
McGolrick Mediation is a community event series that introduces the Japanese practice of forest bathing (shinrin-yoku) through 60-minute guided sessions with local artist Beatrice Wolert. Forest bathing is a restorative self-care practice that encourages connection with nature through the senses. It can lift your mood, sharpen focus, ease stress, and, most importantly, offer quiet moments of reflection beneath McGolrick’s trees. Find information about upcoming sessions below.
All events are free and open to REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS 18+. Private support for McGolrick MEDITATION is provided by City Parks Foundation and Partnerships for Parks through the NYC Green Fund.

McGolrick Meditation: Forest Bathing with Artist Bea Wolert
Relax and remain quiet while walking amongst McGolrick Park’s trees during our Japanese forest bathing session (shirin yoku) with local artist Beatrice Wolert. Forest bathing is a self-care practice that seeks to enhance health holistically by connecting with nature via our senses. It can promote your mood, focus, and balance stress levels. Mats, journals, and writing implements will be provided.
